God-Damn Love (Free verse) by D. $ Fontera
Let me to my home again. I hate the way you smile. I'd rather that we didn't speak Of things which make my wisdom weak. All I see in you is you; There's not a hint of me. Try to say That it's okay, Don't even let it be. I want to hear you rant about All the things which make us shout. I hope this satisfies you and your conscience gets a break. As long as we're together, Whether we will last forever, I would like to give you reason To live over my mistakes. It not that you're too scathing Or you fail to play the part It's the fucking way you love me So deep down inside your heart

Down the ladder: driven

How is it that you can write something good ("Falling") and then post this foolishness. The Drive-By Truckers' "God Damn Lonely Love" is much better...check that out.
