Crisscrossing My Mind (Free verse) by woodstock20000
Pacing, slowly, through the mists of our memories: Rights, wrongs; didn'ts, should'ves. I lept to love you, hold you, make the world accept you. But I couldn't. I don't know if I ever had the power, or if you could even let me. But I tried. (Healer, heal thy self be true...) Maybe it was all just a selfish act; a desperate attempt, to obtain what I myself needed, But maybe... maybe it was both.

Up the ladder: Through Your Frown
Down the ladder: Weariness

"I lept to love you" - good. But some of of it is not stated very well. Example: "make the world accept you." - impossible, isn't it.
