Smells (Free verse) by the_poetess
The smell of soapy wet dog fur is not pleasant in the least, but it sure does beat the smell of dirty, trash-digging dog. Lysol has the ability to take any smell and make it even more pungent and nauseating then it was seconds before. There are some good smells in life. Like that of good food, particularly Asian. Though a nice lasagna or fresh pizza smell, is hard to beat as well. Fresh flowers, citrus fruit, a dewy morning, all of these smells can be quite tantalizing as well. But the building that we spend our lives in tend to smell more, of mold then of dew, which is unfortunate because musty air tends to make musty people. The bad smell that takes the prize though, the one that smells the absolute worst, would have to be, that of, warm stinky dog breath.

Kind of Martha Stewart meets Andy Rooney. But it has some good stuff too like the first verse.

The first verse is good, then it gets boring.

A tissue of lies from start to finish, the crescendo being your staggering claim that Asian food smells nice. No Asian thing smells nice, because by definition that thing is coated in a thick layer of Brown.
