Dear Aunt Leonard (Ode) by T. Jonathron Remp
Were you aware that rainbow light comes through your hairs
When you're out gathering pears
And small pieces of nearby chairs
Being blown around by the tornado
Dance around your head in a way that makes me want to not throw a tomato
And little winged beetles with wings made of lace
Swarm in a halo, your outline they trace
And small invisible animals climb all over your face
But upon closer inspection they are marching in such a direction
As to be a sort of million bug vection celebrating your flawless
complexion
And they'd vote you as queen if they had an election
And were you aware that when you are bare
It verifies the rumor
That you're the opposite of a tumor
And heart-shaped floaty things glide through my vitreous humor?
