Fairies (Free verse) by whispern_smoke_wisp
the glistening dew on the grass speaks to me saying the world is perfect, just for this one single moment in time and the fairies were all dancing before you came outside. I'm shivering, standing here with only my flimsy white night shift to keep me warm the lawn is wet my feet are pruning and the sun, peaking gently from behind the clouds is mildly scolding me, because apparently what I just interuppted was the grand wedding of a fairy prince and princess

Up the ladder: Christmas Memories
Down the ladder: You Showed Me

when I was a little girl, my grams said if you look very carefully you can see where the faries have hung out their laundry all over the lawn...and sure enough I did...of course now I tell my little girl the same...look in the morning where the dew hangs on little spider webs...it looks like canopys of laundry...
Beautiful...thanks for bringing back an old memory :) :) Bethy
