Beware of Cruel Poets (Free verse) by Dovina
Come all young writers If poetry’s your game Join with the travelers The strong and the lame Some opinions will help you In honing your skill Even if slanderous A comment can’t kill But traveling among us A few can be cruel They say you’re an ace And your words are quite cool But like tares in the wheat They start as if kind Then turn with a sting And bite your behind

Up the ladder: Uncle Sam Is Dead
Down the ladder: Jack
