Not in The Classroom (Free verse) by Gbaddy Faggy
Life teaches me great lessons Outside the four walls of the classroom Through thick and thin: To be strong even in weakness Brave to face fear with fortitude Proud and undaunted in honest failure But humble and gentle in success Not to seek life's bed of roses But to face stress and spurs- Of adventures and challenges To stand up in the storm unperturbed Having compassion on those who fall Not without valour Pursuing a variant of goals radiant as gold To learn to laugh, not forgetting how to cry To reach into the farthest future Yet never neglecting the distant past To be serious, never to take myself so seriously, And hopeful when hope seems forlorn!
