Wars Between Held Breath's (Free verse) by thepinkbunnyofdoom
Today they teach our children Of the day when the dragon bit the giant leg Only to for the giant to wake and break the wyrm's wings Before he once again fell sleeping Tomorrow will they teach our children Of the day the scorpion stung him in the face Only to scare the giant of poison, Who then robbed a cobra of his venom Then will they teach our children Of how the giant bleed in a fever Lost in the heat with bite marks and a new cold fear The tiny eyes that hide beneath his sight

Up the ladder: Insolence
Down the ladder: The Secret
