HOW IT USUALLY ENDS! (Free verse) by pennymarie
Delusion hovers , Frayed words erupt. Doused by spite, seeking revenge Lost in a sea of stagnant time Misted by pride Tossed my misery Grasped by a pure heart Released to a mental escape Of rejection. Is it that easy to just let go Watch the person you have Said I love you to forever Just float away aimlessly Drifting further and Further away till barely visible? A physical emptiness takes Over, not welcomed but not fought. Slimy malicious thoughts slip in The mind becomes destructive No recovery in sight just a welcomed Numbness.. That tears cannot Wash away. Touch me one more time Shake those beautiful words From your lips one more time. Come home to me please one more time. Wipe away these tears one more time Draw my soul out one more time. Just one more time reach out and Capture me before I slip beneath A deep blue haze…..of shame.

Up the ladder: An Old Friend
Down the ladder: One Second
