Flying (Free verse) by markmidgett
Have had an odd series of dreams since last we spoke. Always Flying always falling. Wondering what this means in the Grand scheme of things, Sudden falls through the pine trees Picket fences, out of tumbling cars Being flung by circumstance from cliffs Passing Wile E. Coyote and anvils on the way To a small --spack-- and tiny cloud of dust. There is no fear, only exhilaration Anticipating the unknown while relishing the prospect Of new horizons.

Up the ladder: Avian Child
Down the ladder: Cliche
