A Fool's Errand (Free verse) by ALChemy
Disembodied from the populous, hanging from the coattails of god. The poet, artist, storyteller bleed their wrists for levity. For the aerial view intoxicates and the loss of blood is redeeming. And divine knowledge such a tasty carrot for the ass.

Up the ladder: paper fragments
Down the ladder: leaving

Yeah I was going for the fact that we put strain on our wrists when we write, draw, paint etc. and the blood was the essence we put into our art. But I'm sure it probably has been used a hundred times.

Didn't like the ending.

"Bleed . . . for levity" is funny in the way that laughing at myself is funny. And the search for information about God is rather like a donkey chasing a carrot. Good.

Some folks are stubborn donkeys that just stand there and don't care and others are kicking at the carrot dangler with their hind legs to spite him. I won't name names though.
