Sunshine (Free verse) by ingwa
On the Isle the lack of sun Depressing grayness, damp Cold and wet, miserable Into the heat, artificial, dry Give me sunshine, gloriously warm Heat me, feed me, with the energy you give Turn my skin to a healthy color Bleach my hair, to the golden hue The sun is mighty, dangerous too Ensure you put sun screen on Skin blemishes form, the skin blisters Rehydration, water, salt, oil necessities Keeps the plants alive Through process of chemical change Creates glorious greenery all around Feeds animals, insects, life forever Without it gravity would not exist Keeping a perfect balance Without it life would cease With it, life abounds for ever.

Up the ladder: Illumination
