the truth (Free verse) by i_am_the_popsicle What to do when the truth
that you know to be true
is not the truth that you want.
Not saying that you wish
you were ignorant of anything,
(though you might be happier if you were.)
Just saying that true
is a look in the mirror we have
all been avoiding,
and true is the monster
hiding under everyones
bed.

would have sounded better if "true" were replaced with "truth" although the meaning remains the same.
