oysters (Free verse) by crooked_smile
the world is my oyster and I’m facing a pretty tough moral dilemma think back, if you will to that spot, in Alice in Wonderland where the two characters (whose names I can’t quite put my fingers on) were discussing cabbages and kings (not to mention why the sea is boiling hot – - and whether pigs have wings) When they chance upon a mother with her baby oysters (if you recall) they use devious methods and evil ways to trick the oysters into becoming their next meal. The question I have for you, my dear friend, is if the world is my oyster should we always take advantage of the fortunes it can provide or is it only fair to let the oysters keep their pearls?

Up the ladder: spring
Down the ladder: run'em'hard
