The Tree (Free verse) by Joe-joe
The tree stands still in the shadow of my stare
Then dances wily when I glance away
The tree is unyielding to my touch
But savors the flavor of woodland dew
The tree is a silent partner
But sings songs made from wind and rain
The tree is all these things when I am awake.
