Dreams of Neverland: Journey to Neverland (Free verse) by TLRufener
I looked down upon the city As it slept soundly below, The lights twinkled and glittered As if they were stars upon the snow. The city grew smaller As we flew upward into the sky, And as the noises and lights faded The clock-tower quietly chimed. Stars surrounded us against a smooth background Of deep dark midnight blue, As the shimmering stars twinkled around us, I knew all my dreams were about to come true. As we neared the twinkling star, His smile seemed to glow. He said to me laughing, “Hold on to my hand and do not let go.” On a trusting whim I held on Like it was my lifes’ last night, As we raced off towards the star And were surrounded by a pink light. The wind blew back my hair As he smiled with great joy, “You can tell me your stories forever, And also the Lost Boys.” Out of the light Came the most amazing scene; Flower gardens, mountain paths, A mermaid lagoon, and a pirate ship on the sea. The cold crisp wind of home Had long since melted away. In this beautiful land of dreams, It was the morning of a summer day. I laughed with him as our journey Came to a breathtaking end. I was there next to Peter Pan Gazing in awe at Neverland.

This is ok.

So you like Peter Pan. That's cool because not alot of people I know like him. So that's great.
