I feel like a river pebble,
a bit of sea glass,
tumbling endlessly through
the not-empty emptiness
of the clearly muddy water
of society:
the misdirections.
the politics.
shape me, and I am changed;
face me, and I am injured,
thrown against your public mask-
Just let me rest.
