Another Endless Night (Sonnet) by MacFrantic
While chivalry is not my middle name This night has left but just one small surprise An akward silence interrupts our game But soon I fall headlong into your eyes This letting go has never pleased my soul So take a chance and let a boy confess To having naught about which to extol But all the things I make to matter less When wiser people say that love transcends Our reasons and the purpose of our lives To that I ask what for is there an end And why is it we hesitate to dive If so long as the night remains all black Let us now feel what love has come to lack

Down the ladder: It Ain't Christmas

Did you write this with syllables in mind? I can't make up my mind.
