My long and dusty (Other) by somemorepoetry
Past the bookstore and the school I turn towards home, and my long and dusty Thoughts come driving forward drop by drop. I turn towards home, and my long and dusty Road becomes an ocean as the clouds gather Past the bookstore and the school. Thoughts come driving forward drop by drop As the engine hums in the moisture, sizzling when I turn towards home, and my long and dusty Road becomes an ocean as the clouds gather To discuss how dry it all has become Past the bookstore and the school As the engine hums in the moisture, sizzling when The rain hops across its surface and I turn towards home, and my long and dusty To discuss how dry it all has become When there is nothing but a dead road Past the bookstore and the school The rain hops across the surface and I count the time by the beat of my thoughts as I turn towards home, and my long and dusty.
