Concussion + Broken Hearts= bad week

Blue eyes cut like knives straight to my heart Pictures of you in my brain came up on the scan The doctor said "what is going on here?" I just silently ran and excused myself from the memories yelling back with ease, "I'm sorry but this week has been hell" A good fall followed by a broken heart What more can I withstand? His words were like a poison dart Every tear is an emergency Every sigh an undone stitch this is what it feels like to be stuck in a ditch to be alone in the dark to be lost in the sea to be confused in a city So I gathered my pieces the ones he blatantly crushed and put them back together in a dizzy Vicodin rush The nurses never caught up Him and I never spoke again And if you see either persons around, tell them, come Saturday, this will finally be the end

Well written! The metaphors bouncing back and forth are really powerful.
