A FIRST POEM FOR MY GRANDCHILd (Free verse) by massangel62
a first poem for my grandchild how precious you will be you won't be born for 7 months but I can feel the love in me the love that I will give you whether your a girl or a boy as your just like an angel sent down to bring us joy at first I was unhappy and confused for a while not because you were being born but because you are a bi-racial child I thought by being bi-racial you'd have a heart so full of pain I thought while you were growing up they would call you some bad names I gave this some serious thought and asked for God to forgive my misunderstanding of bi-racial and to teach me how to live to forgive the doubts I had as your a blessing from above it doesn't matter what race you are as you'll be taught how to love to love life and people too to call everyone by their name I taught my kids that one rule and i'll teach you the same you'll be someone very special who'll be loved your whole life through as you'll be my precious grandchild i'm your grandma and I love you.

A nice sentiment and appreciated I am sure by the ones it is for, but a bit too simplistic for posting here. You will probably not appreciate the response.

Very sweet, nice for family, but it's slightly cheesy and obvious, but poems are for lots of things and I think it does well what it's suppose to be doing, but as a poem, well...
