Ode to the bun (Day 11) (Free verse) by jdc
Sitting with such stoic dignity Amidst judging sidelong glances Deaf to the sniggers and jibes It refuses to rise up. Even in its death there is life Abundant, teeming, hardly acceptable Yet it is still life Rotting raisins and all Proudly accepted and loved Just as it is I ‘m starting to admire that rotten bun

Up the ladder: Rolling Bells
Down the ladder: Under The Knife
