Out of the Rabbit Hole (Free verse) by sarah
Every day gets a little bit easier After a dark time... Every week brings a little more peace for her: She's out of the place that has no rhyme, No reason, Nothing providing anything pleasing. She's wet with amazing grace Was lost and now she's found Herself An old face Within the ground Yet right at this point She still thinks you won't care to hear her expound She tries anyway Tired of crying alone She's finding her way back home Opening her soul back up Little by little She feels kinda like a zipper Undoing But everything underneath stays in place And the underside she finds is covered in lace She has been revealed And the evolution of her is beautiful Yet the future of her is oh so delicate She focuses hard to be sure she can handle it The rabbit hole still beckons her Every now and then it calls to her Dream with me Sleep with me Lay down your soul Become an infant - become a foal Yet she is no fool She keeps the distance She now knows better than to expect a fairy prince "That", she declairs; "That is for the rabbits"
