SIMPLE (Free verse) by shazpen
the lights coming from beneath hood strewn entrails of burden slushed in jet stains all the steps of a mountain well down a dream marked her ass oh god forever up and in the window a tree trunk of a nerve all cats dogs and possums easy jumping paths through the clear air swerving around dusty and solid raised slaughtered cried every night-they move through and pull at your reflexes a lost day lost to memory only a resisdual that comes up in dreams and I can`t remember if I dreamt it or it really happened or theres a messenger from some other place warning the wrong dreamer about unavoidable disaster the striving shock panic and rage of an escape artist`s last performance or the suicide of an obsessive in the headline of a man awaiting execution

Up the ladder: quetzalcoatl

quite nice - I would have made a few different line break choices, but really - a small thing.
