A single day (Free verse) by donmiguel1960
The seedling falls, is nurtured and grows Life develops inside the walls, of gentle snows A child is born, is imparted life, in disarray They both are warm, among the strife, living today Years go by, memories gather, youth and might Shade made clear, branches strong, colors so bright Tender love, beneath the tree, blooms and shows Together expressions flowing free, a dark red rose Life together, learning new, revealing love, Gentle streams, elation enriched, unworthy of Lineage grows, parents love, life’s cycle sustains Trees grow tall, blocking rays, the mountain regains Years grow long, breath is short, and eyes are dim Two hearts are one, death can’t be thwarted, and days grow slim Asleep they lie, beneath the tree, side by side as meant to be A seedling falls, along the soil, then begins to become a tree Miguel Antonio Francis

I like the idea, but the meter leaves a lot to be desired.
It is'nt a bad poem, just too wordy, about ten or twenty less
syllables would do it more justice.
