Dying (Free verse) by QuirkyWonder
Breathe in The smell of everything around you The air, her hair, her smile, Your happiness, your love, your last breath You won't let it go Because you want to cherish this moment forever By holding in your breath You are extending every second spent with her But you can only hold on for so long Before you have to give into destiny And let go of the smell Of the air, Her hair, her smile Your happiness, your love And most of all your life But in doing so realize That in your last moments You could not have been any happier
