Forgotten (Free verse) by erickvisions
Starring at white walls Trying not to recall All the unanswered letters And telephone calls Seen it all too often What its like to be forgotten Standing in front of the mirror Doors locked so no one can hear The whispers in my ear Generated from constant damming From you and ones considered “holy” Telling me I’m rotten And that I’ve been forgotten Empty promises coming out of the receiver Match empty bottles holding me near Your losing touch on your lies They’re no where near as clever Tell me you think of me often I know I’ve been forgotten
