Bizarre Practices (Free verse) by longships
The lady is sultry, tall and serene, The finest madam there's ever been. Her job is sheer pleasure, although charges are high, She treats men with a wickedness betrayed in her eyes. Broad bands of leather hold your body down tight, Your treatment will keep her busy all night. She takes pride in her work, nothing's too much, She'll arouse all your senses with her famed magic touch. There are all types of masks and gags if you like, But watch out for the pain as her whip makes its strike. She loves to be dominant over the meek, Yet it's joy and excitement for those who seek. Dress up in rubber or leather whatever your taste, Uniforms of schoolgirls or nurses or soft silken lace. Her massage relaxes, cool oil scents your skin, To you what she does is never a sin. Black stockings, suspenders, and wigs all for you, A transvestite's heaven in stiletto healed shoes. In front of the mirror you gaze looking grand, Then watch with delight as she offers her hand. It's a world for dreamers, with secret desires, Fantasies enacted, she rekindles your fire. And as the wife is home in bed asleep and unknowing, This lady for a while will keep your hidden love glowing.

This poem should be recited from the steps of every kindergarten! Dr. Seuss for the internet set. Too bad the old Doc ain't around to create the illustrations for you! Or perhaps it should be canonized/memorized by the kiddies a la Night before Christmas..."While visions of S & M dance in their heads" What would mummy say, or maybe she's the inspiration? Not awful, but the rhyming and rhythm color it with a sophomoric hue.

I'd have to agree... Rhyming can be used tastefully and rhythmically, and it can be overused. It sounds like a 3rd grade song that you use to sing while jumping rope.

if you enjoy thinking of them as bizarre, i guess they are. so many condemn for thoughts they themselves frequently fight back. perhaps this is what incites the mania? everything 'safe' and 'normal' sounds like hell to me.

I don't think of them as bizarre. I chose the title when I wrote the poem back in 1982, because every one I knew either didn't believe these activities went or condemned them.
