Valley of the Dolls (Free verse) by anagram

Burning passion has melted away From love's confusion and lust's decay The cry has left and lost it's need No more the want for sex to feed Comparing days with times gone by Lays trust and devotion down to die If they can't match what's not for you Then feelings fade to a friend untrue When buddies turn out of love And nudging now needs a shove The time has come to let it go It's clear to see for those who know But just when I need help to see At long last something's there for me And all the effort tumbles and falls Into the valley of the dolls.

Thanks again for your comment concerning. Being a beginner poet (at least as far as publishing goes), I need all of the esteem building I can get. Your friend, Doug PS I wish that there were more seem to appreciate "how my mind works." Thanks again Doug
By the way I gave this poem a 9. It sure does make a lot of sense-----and so many things do eventually come to an end. Learning how to let go is necessarily an important part of life. Not easy, but sometimes just simply necessary.
