I Have A Love (Other) by Spindle

I have a love. This moment has been imagined from every angle in my mind. I saw him in every colour, every shape, every place, every kind. And now he’s here and he’s like nothing I could have guessed. His hair is shorter, as is his stature, even the way he’s dressed. He doesn’t rescue me from pirates Or whisk me off to the coast. He doesn’t shower me with presents Or read me poetry he wrote. But he does tickle me until I can’t breathe And he makes sure I’m ok When I think about I can’t believe But it’s so much better this way I have a love And he loves me I have a love And so much more I have a love And he’s not perfect But neither am I, for sure So I’ll take my love and my darling (Though he’d kill me if he heard that title was his role) And close my eyes to the small quarreling And instead open my heart to his soul

(no title in body please).

Actually a little twist there in the second to last line. Sounds (the situation) so wonderful but then there is this little shadow of doubt (the quarreling).

Would be nice to exploit this more. Something like "He's so thoughtful and kind and everything is so wonderful except for the way he stares at my sister's ass when he thinks I don't see" kindof thing.
