C Words (Free verse) by RWAndersen
C Words
My CONCERN (an uneasy state of blended
interest, uncertainty and apprehension)
for what you were going through Friday night,
Sure CONFOUNDS (to fail to discern
Differences between: mix up)
Me at what you heard in Saturday's light.
You CONSTRUE (to understand or explain
the sense or intention of)
My words all wrong, want me out of your sight,
And CONDEMN (to declare to be
reprehensible, wrong or evil without reservation)
what we've shared, say I'm not your shining Knight.
To CONCLUDE (to bring to an end in a
particular way or with a particular action)
we're through, casts a shadow on something bright.
Don't CONFUSE (to fail to differentiate
from an often similar or related other)
how I feel with what you think can't be right.
If CONCEIT (excessive appreciation of
One's own worth or virtue)
Is what you think, we're wrong and I won't fight.
The CONSTANT (marked by steadfast revolution
Or faithfulness; exhibiting constancy of mind or attachment)
Is since you came in, my life's reached new heights.
