Lost Dreams (Free verse) by DirtyKurtsGurl

Maybe it wasn't the life that she dreamed of... With white picket fences. And the man who loved her, and would give her babies. But he'd never promised to be. He'd comforted her through the darkest of nights. Let her realease the tears that ate into her heart like acid. Her foolish heart had flirted with a dream of more. But her life lay elsewhere. She would never have those babies, or that man. But maybe someday, if she kept putting one foot in front of the other... It would hurt less. So much for dreams, they always get lost along the way.
