My Chocolate F-9 (Free verse) by abecedarian

Spruce billets the top Maple the back, sides, and neck Thickness sanded the sides and sawn straight Bended the wood not too wet to break Joined the plates and carved for days And finally now it rings D sharp Just as it should Everything left is a month between me and my chocolate F-9 Until finally I can hear it sing The urge to rush is unbearable a disaster in waiting So patience and do this right Just as I should

Well you can buy a kit if you want but I've heard that you can't trust the wood in the kits (other people think the kits are fine). Typically the kits come slightly pre-assembled which is good if you don't have much in the way of tools or experience. It is cheaper (and more satisfying I think) to buy the raw parts and do everything yourself (short of casting the metal bits). If you're interested go to www.stewmac.com . They are a luthier supply company and sell everything one would need.
