Style (Sonnet) by Nicholas Jones

Ill fitting shirt, belt slipping from the waist Odd socks, and one is inside out This is what comes of getting drressed in haste, I’m sure that passers-by will want to shout: "Avoid that man! He dresses like a tramp, The buttons on his shirt are all done wrong!" Then I will reply to them, beneath a lamp Throwing its light on what I have got on: "I am annoyed the writers of the press Pollute their pages with dull fashion dross, I dress just how I like, and wish to stress I follow no-one else and have no boss. You waste your time to tell me what to do - I like my trousers to be stained with glue"

Formatted correctly and done with a dash of modern - i liked it - 8

I always respect your opinions Nicholas.

Also being half welsh (Pontyclon) I urge all Finnish people on poemranker to politely leave this site.
