Me and the Darkness (Free verse) by aurora

I sit here in the darkness And watch life fade away My soul aches And soon breaks away. I feel like i'm in the underworld Deep, deep, down I'm alone except for the souls Of those who are gone. I sit here in the darkness And know nothing is right No matter how hard we fight Nothing will ever be right. I know my life will fade away One sad and mournful day Yes, on that mournful day My life truly has faded away. Into the darkness i will go Never to return, always alone.

I don't think this is a very good poeme. I especially like the fourth verse, in which you could only think of two lines so you just repeated them to make it four. Moreover, the whole piece is an utterly ridiculous attempt to appear 'deep' and 'troubled'. It's just a vague, teenage rambling about 'darkness'. No matter how hard you try, any poeme that tries to be 'dark' by using the word 'darkness' will fail. You fail.
