Falling Asleep (Lyric) by Miggy

All the problems in society Consumes all the energy within me So I put out the lights, not trying to hide But merely to end a day in my life. The shadows are creeping as I am sleeping And my eyes can't shutter, as there's an annoying utter Getting up with lots of time Before the sun's first shine Now as I go to get a midnight snack And turning my back, with no time to react I lose myself in the mists of black And that's when it hits me (Refrain) Within the blackness, I try to see Searching within a moment's past Is this all reality? As just falling asleep is a hard enough task Then losing myself just won't help And help is all I need After the sun comes up, the reaction I felt Would take me to insanity The shape of the day to the colors of the skies Had fooled my weary, bloodshot eyes With all the rules of reality Broken up into lies in disguise So what would this mean? If all of this was just a dream Just an aspect of fantasy Now seeing the light In my dimming sight My imagination has been set free And that's when it hits me (Refrain 2x) (Bridge) x2 The thoughts keeping growing rapidly Deeper inside of me As I wait for what they want me to be For the next time I fall asleep

Here's another ten, that way you'll fit right in with the other shit poets on the best list, because, that's how much your idea of belonging, ranks with me. Maybe one day with the help of all the votes you give yourself, you can run for poemranker mascot, and win a frisbee and free oil change, or a new face and legs that can support 500 lbs. 10!
