rainday (Free verse) by Bill Z Bub

Wringing cloudbells pealing braingray, we huddle, buttoned, beneath bloombrellas, ruddy handles slick and slippering, grinning through this grainy rainday. galoshed legs galloping muddy puddles, bulletdrops battering scrunched tissue lilies, gasping nightcrawlies subtly crushed, survivalling on 'til scraped by morning's brush.
