Tomorrow (Free verse) by Katie

Walking under a moon full of regret, Holding the tears of sorrow, Pain I won’t soon forget. They say,‘ just wait until tomorrow, The rain will dry, And the sun will shine.’ But I have no time to lend or borrow, I can’t wait for tomorrow… For that day isn’t’ promised Did you ever think, ‘What if my tomorrow isn’t alive, And you never got to kiss me goodbye?’ Did I ever wonder,‘What if your tomorrow is dead and gone… And I didn’t tell you --- I’m still in love…

The best thing here is the line 'I have no time to lend or borrow' - reminds me of a folk song or something - but the idea of time as a commodity is surprisingly deep here.
