To My Grave (Free verse) by Bonehiss

I knew you kept them! I found them yesterday In our secret hiding place. The policeman, The waitress, Even the little girl from the bus, They just sit there now. Nothing to do but be dead. I sat with them last night for hours Remembering all the fun we had, And that wild crazy look in your eyes? I owe you a lot my friend. You taught me to enjoy The simple act of murder, As it should be enjoyed, As one caught up In passionate sport, Holding nothing back, Letting it grab hold of you And pull you inside. Unsanctified. Unholy once again. In your secret garden Of earthly horrors, Lay sorrows, The last remnants Of failed mythologies, That torment me. That tease me. That feed my one desire. And speed me to my grave.
