Swirling wisps Of smoke and ash, Evidence of my fury, Float high in cerulean sky. High above the evergreens, And then vanish Into the crisp morning air, In but a mere sliver Of measured time, To chase your spirit, As I stare into the fire. Transfixed. Thinking of you, And what I've done. Drinking coffee. Black, bitter, and strong. As perfect as my hate.
