Mannequin (draft) (Free verse) by Ranger

Perfect human sculpture Vanity idolised As you pose, waiting For the imminent portrait I will draw, Joints and all I can control your curves, Your polished pine highlights Yet those subtle postures Of yours, I cannot master My picture An exact replica Image of a flawed perfection And I see it and weep As anger grows I shake you Throw you Hit you Your neck twists Limbs at broken angles And with a crack You snap back to life Then you smile at me Though you have no mouth And I pick up my pencil And draw You have won
