The yellow rose of California (Free verse) by INTRANSIT

I have heard of a rose, although I have never seen this flower. Bright yellow with petals tipped orange. It is said to be found amongst other flowers and grasses and dandelions. Its large blossom is supported by a sturdy green stem with blood red thorns that some fear but I would not. It shows that it takes care of its leaves. But I have also heard that this rose has a certain affliction. That every time the sun passes over, it reaches straining and earnest for the warmth. The sun cannot pass any closer than its fixed position. And yet, this rose still leans. My fear is, she may lean too far and uproot herself and die.

Hey Intransit, how's it going? I
ve been out of circulation for a while due to losing my job etc etc and having no computer - I'm reduced to using an Internet cafe. But glad to see you're continuing your quest for truth'n'beauty and all that. Keep it coming.
