The little tornado that could (Free verse) by Bachus

See that mobile home park a siren wails from a pole not anymore but we just put that new roof on the church this summer now its upside down on a cow in old man fester's field giant swirling grooves are everywhere along with flopping fish and frogs my sisters brand spanking new VW bug has changed colors on one side the side that skidded a hundred and sixty five yards down our street to finally nestle itself into mr. conner's swimming pool why oh lord why? do these twisting fingers of god target schools, churches and trailors? easy prey and slow on the run they found old lady glenda rollins in timmy mcgraws treehouse unfortunately the tree is still missing along with her asthma spray. and notice how mrs. crabtree's house leans to the right just so it's because her house doesn't belong on our street she actually lives down on O'connor her septic tank is still there though she isn't there! there! over yonder somethings coming! oh...just the salvation army and a little yellow bus with three flat tires and no singing head gear laden lads hopefully still in a basement watching the news
