Char (Other) by Amelia

Strengthened are words Like elevating hurricanes, Henceforth is sought The quiet arena, where nature collides On a seething sea. Tired shadows on a cold blue iceberg Shadows dwindling shriveled. Tar boils, Wood burns, Crackle, sizzle, kindle, and rise Arise, arise shadows the sun draws near Like the sudden race of poison through veins Stretching onward tyrant claws. Gnawing, gnawing... Tar boils, wood burns, and fires red. Smothered iceberg reaching fire, Smothered fire recoiling in rage, Seared iceberg, boiling waters, Elements hiss, elements fight, Equal opponents, equal casualty. Compromise results in demise. Shadows eternal, laugh in glee. Sun envelopes, sun smiles. White rash on black ash. Elements now in char find rebirth.
