A Musical Dream (Free verse) by vulcan

Each time I hear Simon Boccanegra A dream paralyzes my senses. I'm pacing a catecomb in pensive strides The Brooding-Silence on my back. I feel somebody's approach, I revive... I look up in his eyes and mine grow salty He presses my hand, "I can not break the heart of darkness." He says "I understand." My hand faints down,he passes, I stride away. -simon Boccanegra is an opera by G.Verdi which is full of arias that are sad, deep and impressive.

I don't know much about Verdi, but this captures what impression I do have of it. Mysterious, heavy. Great
