Up The Road Aways (Free verse) by harrytuttle

Walking the hollow, simple world I balk at the thought of a cereal breakfast In a cardboard box of time I sit slinging slugs of muck to the wind and thinking about something I forgot long ago Before things mangled themselves And time stood still. But trudge on we must Thru the gloomy night Into the too bright dawn

And your point is? There's some nice wording in places; 'slinging slugs of muck to the wind' is lovely, but the ending is cliched and dull. Have a 4, as an encouragement for future efforts.
