Twisted Swords of Love & Hate (Free verse) by DreamMachine

Twisted swords of love and hate, There is no other force at work now except fate, A knife shatters, But I hear no cry, Except a song of birds with no lullaby, And for this I know i've spilled my blood, But I don't know how much more I could, A river turns red as I lie there still, But time stops at my will, And as I lie there half awake, I think of a distant time and my mistake, A portal opens and the door is shown, But instead I am left there all alone, To wonder this earth for countless years, But my time does not fade, It just dissappears

I've read this over and over. I love the images you give your reader. It is a dark but lovely poem. The deepest poem I have read on this sight yet.
