Taffy (Free verse) by knickytoy

We would begin with wishes. Bubbling up, as in boiling sugar; The hot, glossy bubbles of an unformed sweet, beautiful, but looking nothing like salt water taffy, Are pulled, broken, stretched and dulled, So dull they become reality And no one is really happy.

knicky-t's one smart cookie. she's a radcliffe girl. i went to art school, 'nuff said. but i still beat her at scrabble last night. (we take turns winning, i guess) listen to me, answering for her. we are both gardeners; we are creatures of rivalling beauty; and, i, at least, could give a crap about caps. it's the alliteration and the assonance that i'm on about, p&k. (sorry if i answered for you, knicky-t)
