Taffy (Free verse) by knickytoy

We would begin with wishes. Bubbling up, as in boiling sugar; The hot, glossy bubbles of an unformed sweet, beautiful, but looking nothing like salt water taffy, Are pulled, broken, stretched and dulled, So dull they become reality And no one is really happy.

Hey thnaks for that. I don't think we have this in Britain at all but it looks delicious - related to toffee, but the salt water component is unique. Yummmmm. Nearly as good as dirty toenails.
