We visited the gay men on the veranda (Free verse) by Frass

We visited the gay men on the veranda my wife and I traded nervous laughter and looks. So strange to me calling each other 'girl!' suddenly, whirling and crooning to an old Supremes hit another has a fit over some prankish indiscretion between his boyfriend and another blush-cheeked, man-child, loverly she-creatures I love them but, brotherly.

Amalea, you are a breath of fresh aire amidst the green and purple fog spewed by those who licked up too many leaded paint chips when they were young. However, Zzin is certainly right, many gay men and women hide behind hetero 'marriages'. Our friends in DC that night were more of the 'in your face' variety of homosexual. I posted this one in the hopes of stirring up some discussion and more comments for my poems; guess I struck paydirt!
